Dr. Anh Q. Dam is a board-certified radiologist in diagnostic radiology specializing in neuroradiology. Dr. Dam is a graduate of Wilmington Friends School, received his BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College (Philadelphia, PA). He completed his residency at Christiana Care Hospital (Newark, DE), where he served as Chief Resident, and completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at Duke University Medical Center (Durham, NC).
Dr. Dam joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates (DIA) in 2009, and in 2018, DIA merged with Papastavros’ Associates Medical Imaging to become Delaware Imaging Network in 2018. He previously worked at Christiana Care from 2005 to 2009, serving as the Assistant Program Director for the Radiology Residency Program.
He became interested in radiology when he was in middle school during a volunteer service project that he did in the radiology department at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.
“I was simply amazed at the ability of the radiologists to examine the human body in a non-invasive manner,” Dr. Dam recalls.
His favorite part of being a radiologist is serving his patients by helping to diagnose their symptoms and medical issues so that referring providers can treat them.
“Radiology gives me the opportunity to see numerous cases a day, in different modalities, and is intellectually fulfilling and allows me to keep in touch with other areas of medicine,” he says.
In his free time, he enjoys swimming, playing tennis, traveling, reading and listening to music.
