Dr. Amy Liebeskind is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging. She earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and her fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Liebeskind joined Lenox Hill Radiology (LHR) in 2017. She first became interested in the field after being exposed to it by her husband (who is also an LHR radiologist). One of her favorite parts of working in radiology is working alongside referring doctors and other radiologists to solve complicated cases.
“I also enjoy the ‘detective work’ aspect of radiology—putting together imaging findings with clinical information to determine diagnoses,” Dr. Liebeskind added.
She’s particularly interested in musculoskeletal imaging because of “the complexity of the anatomy and the logical connection between imaging findings and mechanism of injury.”
When not working, Dr. Liebeskind is involved with her medical school alumni association and enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her two daughters (along with their family puppy and guinea pig).
