Dr. Alan A. Cohen is a board-certified radiologist in diagnostic radiology with special interests in body imaging, breast imaging, musculoskeletal imaging and nuclear medicine. He earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine (Washington, D.C.) where he also completed his residency in diagnostic radiology while serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Cohen first became interested in radiology while he was a medical resident at George Washington University and became fascinated by the technology. He later joined Community Radiology Associates (CRA) in 1979, before the group was recognized by that name.
“I make an effort to interact with the patients as much as possible,” Dr. Cohen said. “I enjoy the personal aspect of radiology and not just the imaging aspect.”
When he’s not working, Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with family, water sports such as sailing and kayaking, and reading about astronomy, archaeology and paleontology.
