Dr. Lauren S. Levy is a board-certified radiologist. She graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical School (Brooklyn, NY) and did her internship in medicine at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical School (NYC). She completed her four-year residency in diagnostic radiology and one-year breast imaging fellowship at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.
She is a fellowship-trained breast imager and completed a mini fellowship in body imaging. Dr. Levy was also a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD) specializing in Bone Densitometry.
Dr. Levy joined Lenox Hill Radiology (LHR) as a breast imaging specialist in 2018. Prior to joining LHR, she practiced radiology in Bergen County for 20 years, at Radiology Associates of Ridgewood and at the Valley Hospital, where she has served as past Associate Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. She specializes in breast imaging, which includes mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast biopsies and Body CT Imaging. Dr. Levy has a special interest in high-risk breast cancer screening.
In addition to practicing radiology, Dr. Levy has participated in many community outreach programs including lecturing on breast imaging for the community, for referring physicians, and technologists and staff. She was one of a few physicians involved in drafting the New Jersey Dense Breast Legislation, which mandates that a patient be informed about their breast density on their mammogram. Dr. Levy is currently serving as the president of the NYU Radiology Alumni Association (NRAS).
Outside of work, Dr. Levy enjoys hiking, kayaking, boating and skiing. She spends her free time on the Jersey shore with family and friends.
