Dharmesh Tank earned his BA in Biology and Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and his Medical Degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2014. He then stayed at Stony Brook University Hospital to complete his internship and residency training. In his final year at Stony Brook, he served as the patient safety chief resident.
After residency, Dr. Tank went on to complete a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD. In addition to all aspects of general and musculoskeletal imaging, Dr. Tank has advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided procedures, MR neurography, musculoskeletal bone, and soft tissue tumor imaging, including sarcoma imaging and peripheral nerve sheath tumor imaging.
Dr. Tank is a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology and is also a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. He has published multiple articles investigating MR imaging techniques in musculoskeletal disorders and has also presented his work at multiple RSNA annual meetings.
