ATTENTION: WellCare Medicare Advantage Plan Patients

What does this mean for you?

  • WellCare Medicare Advantage Plan participants can continue to access high-quality imaging services at our centers.

  • Consult your health plan or a WellCare Medicare Advantage representative to understand your out-of-network rates.

Changes for WellCare Medicare Advantage Plan Patients

We are committed to providing the highest- quality care.

Radiology Imaging Associates has, for many years, operated as an in-network provider for WellCare Medicare Advantage Plan participants. While industry operating expenses have increased each year, our rates with WellCare have remained unchanged for many years. We could no longer postpone an adjustment.

We sought a new, multi-year, sustainable reimbursement schedule with WellCare, so that we could continue to deliver the highest-quality imaging services. This rate correction is necessary for us to deliver the level of care you deserve.

After many months of negotiation, we have not reached an agreement with WellCare on a rate correction. Therefore, with great disappointment, Radiology Imaging Associates will become an out-of-network provider starting November 30, 2024. We will continue to try to reach a resolution with WellCare.

We have provided trusted radiology care for 50 years and remain committed to your health.

What are my options?

Be an empowered healthcare consumer.

  • Review your health insurance plan to discover its out-of-network coverage policies.

  • Take advantage of our price transparency. We can inform you in advance of the cost of your exam at Radiology Imaging Associates.

  • Compare value before scheduling any imaging procedure. Consider not only price, but access, convenience, quality, and trust when making your healthcare decisions. This is especially important for those participating in a high- deductible plan.

  • Contact your employer group with feedback on how these changes affect your access to care.

  • Contact your WellCare Medicare Advantage representative (the number on the back of your insurance card) with any questions about these negotiations and the outcome for your healthcare.
