Dr. Joseph T. Charles is a board-certified radiologist in diagnostic radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in neuroradiology. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College (Valhalla, NY) and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Luke’s Hospital Center (NYC). He completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at Yale New Haven Hospital (New Haven, CT). Dr. Charles is affiliated with the Radiological Society of North America, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Charles joined Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) in 1989 and currently serves as an officer and director of the company in the capacity of secretary and board member.
Dr. Charles is formerly affiliated with Lawnwood Regional Medical Center of Fort Pierce, St. Lucie Medical Center of Port St. Lucie and Raulerson Hospital of Okeechobee, Florida as an active staff member.
When it comes to his work as a radiologist, Dr. Charles likes the fact that radiology tries to stay on “the cutting edge of modern technology medicine.”
“We have always been the first radiology group in the area to get the modern advancements; whether they are digital mammography, PET scanning, 3T MRI and/or prostate MRI imaging and breast MRI imaging,” Dr. Charles added. “I am looking forward to what comes next.”
