Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA)
A heart imaging test that provides highly detailed images of the coronary arteries and anatomical data about the structure of the coronary arteries and the heart.
It helps to determine if plaque buildup has narrowed the coronary arteries (the blood vessels that supply the heart), which may cause chest pain or a heart attack. A referring provider may recommend a CCTA if calcified plaque has already been detected in the coronary arteries.

Risk Factors
Age: Prevalence of CAD increases after age 35 in both men and women
Ethnicity: Blacks, Hispanics, Latinos, and Southeast Asians are ethnic groups with an increased risk of CAD morbidity and mortality* (National Library of Medicine)
Family History: Patients with a family history of premature cardiac disease younger than 50 years of age have an increased CAD mortality risk
Gender: Men are at increased risk compared to women (National Library of Medicine)
